Noah Commerce designs embroidered t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies for book lovers and animal lovers. This page explains what we offer, how an order is made and how to choose and care for your piece.

What we offer

Every design comes on one of three unisex styles:

  • T-shirt: Comfort Colors 1717. Heavyweight tee in 100% ring-spun cotton, 6.1 oz/yd²; garment-dyed and soft-washed for a lived-in feel; relaxed unisex fit; twill-taped neck and shoulders; double-needle hems. Most of our designs come on this tee.
  • Crewneck sweatshirt: Gildan 18000 Heavy Blend. 50% cotton, 50% polyester; preshrunk fleece knit to minimize shrinkage; air jet yarn for a softer feel and less pilling; double-needle stitching at the shoulders, armholes, neck, waistband and cuffs; 1×1 rib with spandex for stretch and recovery.
  • Pullover hoodie: Gildan 18500 Heavy Blend. 50% cotton, 50% polyester medium-heavy fabric with a soft fleece interior, a hood and a front pouch pocket.

The style is shown in each product name, and the product page lists the options available for that design.

Sizes and colors

T-shirts come in sizes S to 4XL, and sweatshirts and hoodies in S to 5XL, all in a unisex fit. Because they are garment-dyed, Comfort Colors tees run about half a size smaller than many basic tees, so size up if you are between sizes. Some colors stop at a smaller size; each product page shows only the sizes available for the color you pick. Open the Size Guide next to the size options and compare the measurements with a similar piece you already own. For an oversized look, size up one or two sizes.

Colors are shown as swatches on each product page. The photos show one example color; the color you select is the one we use for your order. Colors can look slightly different on different screens.

What embroidery means

Embroidery adds a design by stitching it into the fabric with thread, one color at a time, instead of printing ink onto the surface. The finished design sits slightly raised and has a texture you can feel. A soft backing on the inside of the embroidery is normal and softens with washing.

Thread suits clear shapes and a limited set of colors, so our designs are simple illustrations: animals, books and botanical details.

Inside the embroidery workshop

These photos come from the workshop that embroiders our orders. Each design is first digitized into a stitch file, then stitched by machine, one thread color at a time, onto the garment you choose.

Made to order

Every piece is embroidered after you place your order. Production takes 1–3 business days, and then your order ships with tracking, within the U.S. or worldwide. Shipping options, times and rates are listed on the Shipping Information page.

Small differences in thread color and design placement can occur between garment sizes and production runs.

If something is wrong with your order

If your item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, contact us within 30 days of delivery with clear photos and we will replace or refund it. Because each piece is made to order, we can’t accept returns for a size or color chosen by mistake, so please check the Size Guide before ordering. Full details are on the Returns & Exchanges page.

Care instructions

  • Turn inside out and machine wash cold with similar colors
  • Use mild detergent and do not bleach
  • Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry
  • Do not iron directly over the embroidery
  • Do not dry clean
