For readers who always find room for another book, this embroidered T-shirt brings a little bookshelf humor to everyday outfits. Colorful book spines and a leafy plant make a cheerful pairing for bookstore visits.
A small bookshelf at the center chest holds a row of upright books in blue, green and golden tan, one with a column of blue diamonds down its green spine. At the end of the row is a leafy green plant in a golden pot. Below the shelf, white lowercase letters spell "no shelf control." The palette is earthy and balanced, so the scene looks like a corner of a real reading room.
The Pun Every Reader Gets
"No shelf control" is a play on "no self-control," and anyone with a to-be-read pile that never shrinks will get it right away. Bookstores, library sales and online deals are hard to resist, and the shelf is always one book short of full. The design keeps the joke friendly by showing a tidy shelf with a houseplant, the kind of corner readers like to photograph, rather than a collapsing stack.
For Collectors and Book Swap Regulars
Anyone who leaves every bookstore with a full tote will recognize themselves here, and so will the teacher who runs a classroom library or the reader in your book club who keeps promising to stop buying. Wear this book lover shirt to a book swap or a library sale and someone will laugh at the pun. Moss echoes the green plant, while Black and Berry make the golden shelf and blue spines look brighter.
